American greyhound race track the Wheeling Hills made Blackjack Beaver known as the victor of the race
The three-year-old dog, Blackjack Beaver, achieved his 5th victory in his latest six races with trainer, Robert Cooley. The young hound was competing against seven other hounds and raced really well to win the purse.
Starting from trap 8 like a thunder, the runner managed to rail through the track with an outstanding speed, but his start was not so good.
Later on, when he covered half of the distance while chasing the lure, he had a superb increase in his pace.
Proceeding with tremendous pace, trainer Robert Cooley’s hound crossed the wire by covering the distance in 29.32 seconds.
Weighing 33.50 kilograms, Lonesome Cry’s son out of Nikita Crunch, Blackjack Beaver, was followed by the white and dark brindle b***h, Kiowa Grand Girl, 6 ½ lengths behind Blackjack Beaver.
The two-year-old b***h, out of Greys Granite and sired by Kiowa Sweet Trey, raced through trap 5, giving the purse winner a tough competition throughout the race. However, eventually she couldn’t help herself to cross the wire before him.
With a weight of 28.25 kilograms, the young b***h covered the required distance in 29.76 seconds to finish as the runner-up.
Blackjack Beaver’s half sister, WW’s Patriots, was able to finish third in the race by 13 lengths.
The black b***h, out of Wwtakechargelady, started her chase from trap 4 with a sluggish pace. She managed to show a worthwhile performance in the first half of the race.
Weighing 26.25 kilograms, the two-year-old covered the distance in 30.23 seconds.
Rum Shepherdface, a red dog, stood fourth in the race, defeated by 15 ½ lengths by WW’s Patriot, as he did not rail with an impressive speed.
Racing from trap 7, the 33 kilograms' hound took 30.41 seconds to rail till the end of the track.
The dogs who stood fifth and sixth in the race, weighing 33 kilograms, were Red Shadow and AMF Ex President.
Tragically, both dogs got bumped in by 1 length.
Red Shadow, racing through trap 1, covered the required distance in 30.59 seconds whereas AMF Ex President took 30.91 seconds to cross the line.
Fun In The Rain, half brother to WW’s Patriot and the purse winner Blackjack Beaver, railed through trap 6, but unluckily got bumped in by 1 length.
Weighing 34 kilograms, the two-year-old finished seventh in 30.97 seconds.
The only hound among the eight who unfortunately could not cross the wire was Flying Chattaroy, because the red b***h got bumped in when she started her chase through trap 2, getting pulled up.
The Wheeling Downs 04 Sep 2011 HT A4, covered a distance of 501 meters or 548 yards.
