1 flower as opposed to a whole bouquet?

Question

Okay so my Ma's best friend [who's pretty much family to me] was supposed to be doing my bouquet. Well I'm getting married on Sunday and I just found out she hasn't made one because she thought I decided I didn't want her to do it anymore. I kind of want to just carry a single calla lilly instead of a whole bouquet. My dress is straight and simple and the whole ceremony is simple and small. What do you think about this?

I am actually doing 3 long stem orange lillies for myself (with a bow around then just to hold them together). and each of my brides maids will carry one.  

I think it is just as gorgeous as a bouquet.  Sometimes even nicer than a bouquet (come on, you know some of those bouquets you've seen are WAY too busy looking. lol)

I asked this earlier and was told for the 5 I am looking to buy will be about $25 - $30.  so about $5 or $6 each.

Hi.  I don't know how much they are, but you best get to a florist immediately in the morning.  I am not sure that all florists stock calla lillies so you better check right away!  You might have trouble finding some....but hopefully not!  If you do, the florist will be able to help you with an alternative.

Yes, I also like the idea of 3 tied with a beautiful silk ribbon.

I love single flower or triple flower bouquets.  Much better than the ones that are so big, they look like you are carrying the whole dang rose bush with you.

At the end of the day your wedding should reflect what you and your partner are all about.  If one calla lilly suits you then it will be just perfect!

I think you should do 3 callas. It would still be simple but give you something to hold on to and you could hand-tie them with a piece of satin to give it a little something extra.

Good call. A bird of paradise flower would also work if you want to add a splash of color, just don't toss it or someone might lose an eye.

I think the 3 idea is very cute and classy.  You could give each of your bridesmaids one to carry (if you have bridesmaids).

I am having a small bouquet of roses and each of my bridesmaids is carrying a single rose with a ribbon and my maid of honor is carrying 3 roses.  I think sometimes smaller bouquets and single roses can be just as classy, if not classier.
