  1. Nobody likes paying more for anything, but nobody minds getting a raise.

The REAL effect of those lawsuits isn't increased homeowners rates - it's insurance companies, not willing to write homeowners in FL and  LA, AT ANY PRICE.  Now, most people in those states are stuck with triple the price, through the state insurance funds.

  2. Yep, what really makes me mad is that Louisiana is a flood zone, and your homeowners policy CLEARLY states that all rising water is excluded no matter WHAT the cause.  So these people elected to NOT purchase flood insurance because "we havent flooded in years, we dont need that" and now are upset with their carriers for not paying out their claims.  What I cant understand is WHY the courts are siding with the claimants.  Most policies require a signature on the application stating you understand rising water is excluded....now we all have to suffer

  3. I agree with you that people who don't have the right coverage should not get paid.  I'm tired of the Florida homeowners insurance fraud.  If we denied these claims it would put an end to the practice of "going bare".  But the media always steps showing people acting like "they didn't know" demanding payments from insurance companies and the government.

The only thing I can do with stupidity like this going on is to shop my own homeowners insurance in Florida.

This website helped me to find Florida home insurance rates below what they were even before Katrina and Wilma:

    http://www.homeinsurancebuyers.org

Anyone who uses it should have no trouble blowing away their high rates.  And at least you won't have to pay as big a share of the tab for this endless homeowners insurance fraud in Florida.

    Good luck!

  4. It is awesome

    Freaking Great.

    I love it
