What should I eat before I go to the gym?

Hello. I just thought it would be beneficial to eat little or nothing before you want to make sport. But I gelsesn that there should be even counterproductive, because the muscles were then no "fuel". And pizza or food is of course quite stupid. ^^ So my question: what should I eat before I go to the gym? I'm not going there to lose weight and build muscle. Schonmal thank in advance.
