  2. ELCB are of two types 1)Voltage operated 2)Current operated. Now a days voltage operated ELCB are recognised with the name ELCB itself,while the current operated ELCB are recognised by differnt names in different countries for eg. GFCI(ground fault current interrupter) in USA & Canada,RCD in UK and so on..
