  1. no this is how you can start a plant , take the pit rinse it, place a paper towel around it maybe 2 wet it good and place in a plasic baggie seal and place in a dark drawer you dont get into often wait three weeks open check to see if its rooting if not rewet towel place seal and place back in drawer wait another three weeks or longer the better it will sprout when it does plant in soil mine does well out side in nondirect sun it is about 2 feet tall now had to transplant it already its cool. even took a potatoe that sprouted roots and put in pot with soil in a week had leaves on it every week gets bigger oh and maybe feed avacado plant with avacado and citrus food,

  2. I took mine and just pushed it about 3 inches into the flower pot, watered it,  and up it came a couple of months later.

  3. I have never had this work for me.  I have a pit trying to grow now, it is in the window and has been there for 2 months and nothing yet.  Good luck.

  4. Yes put it in water in  sunny window, eventually it will start to open then plant it in sandy soil.

Mine bloomed even though I did not put them in water first.

    Good Luck
