  1. Pilate's is a safe way to build lean muscles.  In women the effect will be to give you a toned look. The more muscle fiber that is available the more calories get burned.  That is an excellent way to burn off weight.  It will require a program of five to six days a week and the watching of the foods that are consumed.  No fried foods, no white flour products, and no sugar.
