  1. It really does work, but you have to follow the program and really do it. But, yes, it works.

  2. OMG i got my splits on both sides after doing 1 month of pilates. it gets you really flexable and really storng. yes it is the best thing to do.

  3. I love pilates. It depends on how dedicated you are to practice and using good form. With your background, I hardly think that will be an issue. I've been practicing pilates for a long time. I used to do gymnastics and a variety of dance (ballet, jazz, tap).  I met a professional ballerina and she is the one that got me back into practicing it.

Jennifer Kries has some wonderful dvd workouts.

Brooke Silar wrote an excellent book called the Pilates Body.

  4. yes it does work especially well for sciatica and will help retone your core muscles which were pulled out of sorts by the pregnancy.

  5. Its supposed to be the excercise they use for recovering athletes and injuries, i guess it is wirth a  try ..

yogo is excellent for the mind body and spirit if your pilates doesnt work.

  6. Pilates definately is a work out..it really works your core and other muscles...i would also recomment yoga for regaining flexibility ... then move on to more advanced stretches.....Pilates and Yoga combined would be the best thing...
