Do high school girls carry backpacks or just tote bags?

I'm going into grade 9 and I want to carry my book bag (1 shoulder) and still be able to carry like my purse kinda bag. Do I carry both or just the one? Thanks

ive always just carried a really big tote bage and sort of put all my purse stuff in it too it work fine for me
