2000 Stratus valve adjustment?

Does anyone know if the engine is ticking and you replace the valve lifters does the springs self adjust or do i have too adjust them.

Auto lash adjusters, do not have any adjustment, if they tick, there is an issue with the lash adjuster (mini- lifter) and / or wear on the valve tip or rocker,/ follower. This is a common problem if you use too heavy a grade of oil, or try to extend the intervals of you oil changes beyond a reasonable limit.

Hydraulic valve lifters,there is no adjustment.

those have over head valves in them check the cam shaft for wear,good luck.

Being a Stratus, I'm guessing the ticking is caused by the lash adjusters.
