10 year old daughter thinks things are going faster then they really are

I don't know if this is related or not, but with regards to the perception of things going faster than normal...this used to happen to me now and then from around 7 years old up until I was around 16 years old.  Initially, I thought it was related to fever or some kind of illness, but I recall the incredible anxiety I would feel...and also the sensation of being threatened. When I got older, it happened a few times when I wasn't sick and would come completely out of the blue.  I always thought it was related to some problem with the inner ear, but now i'm beginning to wonder.  Regardless of the reason why, I remember it being a really terrible sensation with very high anxiety. Even my own voice was frightening.
