  1. The Interior Minister Jorge Fernandez Diaz, was convinced that Santa Teresa de Jesus will be " advocate " for Spain "in these tough times" that is crossing the country and encouraged to approach the literary, mystical Thursday and extensive work he did during his lengthy religious years.

Fernandez Diaz has said these words during the presentation of ' Footprints Santa Teresa ' in FITUR, a project that in 2015 will celebrate the V Centenary of the birth of mysticism through a tour of the 17 cities in four regions, in which he laid the foundations of the Discalced Carmelites.

" Santa Teresa spoke of tough times, and I'm sure that at this time will be an important advocate for Spain in these tough times also is going through," said the minister after recalling the important role played in Santa Teresa history of the Catholic Church.

Fernández DÃ_az has also resorted to Santa Teresa to predict the success of this cultural and tourism project. "I'm sure that the effort of it from above, it sends a lot, will make it a success," he said with a broad representation of the communities involved in the work and the mayors of the 17 cities.

The minister has concluded that this work has joined politicians across political color "above political, ideological or geographical differences," and that " the footprint of Santa Teresa is too deep for us to perish in minutiae."

And, today announced that it will be one of the first visitors to the Teresian route that starts in Avila and runs through Medina del Campo, Malagon, Valladolid, Toledo, Pastrana, Salamanca, Alba de Tormes, Segovia, Salamanca, Beas de Segura, Sevilla, Villanueva de la Jara, Palencia, Soria, Burgos and Granada.

The Minister of Culture and Tourism of Castilla y LeÃ_n, Alicia Garcia, agreed that this project will be an example of institutional coordination between different administrations, which work to make ' Footprints Santa Teresa ' will become the great cultural and tourist event Spain in 2015.

Castile and LeÃ_n also held next year a special edition of ' The Ages of Man ' which will run from ÃÅvilla hometown of Santa Teresa, to Alba de Tormes, where he died after leading his religious heritage throughout Spain.
