  1. I have a painting signed by O.R. Schmidt 1930 it is a seen scape of what seems to be Venice Ittaly. My name is Randy Harness Harness1919@hotmail.com  if anybody has info on the artist please help.

  2. I have just picked up a large oil mountain landscape with a F or E Scmibt signature in the left lower half. On the back on a paper stated that he was born in 1920 and studied at Van Helg. He painted Germany, Austria and the Alps. There was no other distinct details either.

  3. i have 1 landscape  paintings signed o.schmidt on the back it says PAINTED BY OTTO SCHMIDT, MUNICH FOR FWA 24x36 and is numbered 1-52465. Does anyone know if these paintings are worth something?

  4. I also have a large oil painting by O. Schmidt and it has a paper on the back telling about him, but that's all I know.

  5. I have a large oil painting by O. Schmidt, also.  Taped to the back was a bio stating much the same as what guest 1949981 stated.  My in laws collected antiques and art so I doubt very much that this is what is termed "sofa painting".  I am having trouble locating any information on what this painting might be worth.

  6. I have a very large  oil landscape painting signed by O. Schmiidt.  The back is stamped with Viktoria Maltuch and something is printed inside the triangle shape.   Any info on this oil?

  7. I also have a small lanscape painting signed O. Schmidt.  Tacked to the back is a letter stating that the artist was born in Trauenstein, Austria in 1924.  Attended the Munich Fine Arts Academy and has been shown in galleries in Germany and Switzerland.  I also saw a post from an Idaho family whose grandfatehr Otto Schmidt was an untrained but accomplished landscape painter.  I do not know if these gentlemen are actually one and the same.  Furthermore, I disagree with the suggestion that yours is a "sofa painting".  If you have more information, please let me know
