  1. after cycling your ignition key go to the fuel rail and test to see if it has pressure by depressing the valve on the rail(like letting air out of a tire). If you have pressure(fuel squirts out) the pump is good.You should hear the fuel pump during the first five seconds of turning the ignition switch to the on position. If you dont hear the pump and there is no pressure at the rail then you have a bad fuel pump.(most likely) .Be sure to change the whole pump assembly and the fuel filter that is on the frame rail next to the tank.You may also consider flushing out the tank(why not...it is out at this point) ASE Auto Parts Specialist,Mgr.Trak Auto,Good times go clean your hands. 


  2. check the little ground wire that runs to the passenger fender from the battery. if that wire is bad or loose your truck will not run. and are your gauges acting funny? if so its got to be a ground wire. but check that (little ground wire) as funny as it sounds it wont run withonut that wire>
