got my lip pierced around 4-5 months ago. It was hurting yesterday and SWOLLEN today. what do I do??

Is it bad that my piercing is superr swollen MONTHS after I got it done?! I play with it a lot because I have an older piercing on my lip too. My recent one has been hurting for a couple days now. And today woke up with a fat lip. Im freaking out. Is this badd?!?!
