asked for gels, got acrylics, refund???

OMG I was online searching for help as exactly the same thing happened to me today..I phoned a salon run by Chinese and asked if they did gels on natural nails and they said yes. I made appointment, went in and she explained she would be using 'gel powder' then proceeded to aply the powder using a purple liquid. At no point was a UV lamp used and I thought that was the whole point of gels!!! I am home and so unhappy as my nails hurt and  this would never happen with gels. I have had it confirmed that they are def acrylic and thats causing the pain.

I am going to phone the salon tomorrow and tell them how disgusted I am and demand a full refund immediately. If not, I am going to the local paper.
