What is the Yamaha Turbo Tour Custom value. I have a complete set of Yamaha Turbo Tour Custom but i do not know the value.

Hello. I have a complete set, yes you heard it right, i have a full set of Yamaha Turbo Tour Custom drums  (model TTC2584) with an additional 14x14 floor tom (12 pieces without including the cymbals)in Mellow Yellow. I have had it for a long time, in fact since new and have decided to part company with them (medical reasons). They are showroom condition with a new set of Evans Hydraulics in black. I have a full compliment of 9 Sabian cymbals also. My question is to the value of this set. What is a reasonable price to ask for this set. If you need more info, just ask. Thankyou.

  3. HELLO DO YOU STILL HAVE THE 12 PIECE TURBO TOUR YELLOW DRUM SET FOR SALE E MAIL ME AT  WILLIAMLINDE@AOL.COM THANKS

  4.  I am not sure when the first post was made, but you price of 2500 - 4000 is WAY off!  What they are "worth" and what you will get, are two completely different things.  I agree with everything that was said except for the price and the mellow yellow was used in the Turbos (8000) series from 86-89.  They also continued the color for a short time when they switched to the RTC's.

I have been specifically watching mellow yellow turbos for about 3 years now, (ebay, craigslist, music stores....etc) and most of them sit there for a long time.  5 piece kits are going for well under a 1000.  Most go in the 500 area.  But on the rare occasion that the kit is in pristine condition and has "uncommon" sizes (meaning ones that didn't come as a shell pack...ie: 10" 18") then they can bring higher amounts.

Like I said, I agree they are one of the best kits ever produced and is sad that they don't resell for much.

  5. i have a 5 peice in the same rare colur... The mellow yellow was ONLY used for this series of drums in 1986... there was 3 different series

    1 the 7000 series

2 the 8000 series (in which these drums are in that catagory...)

    3 the 9000 series...

my guess is that A: this is a now vintage set

    B: the rare color

    C: the condition

D: this is a touring set and alot of pro drummers love these for thier HUGE live sound... larry mullen JR used these for the joshua Tree tour with U2 but in black...

E: they dont make them like they used to.... mine are made in japan... newer drumsets nowadayz are made in china...

i wouldnt sell my 5 peice shell pack with absolutely no hardware for less than 1000$... and thats in good shape not show room condition... the turbo tour customs are very hard to come by now... your set id have to see a picture... but im guessing 2500- 4000$
