  1.  Ive run into the same thing , with my 18 year old son, who went into get this little floating bone chip on the side of his left arm that was suppose to be this 45 min surgery to remove it, and no effect on the hand , and the doctor from what I gathered from my 2nd opinion doctor , he hit the tendon and caused the rupture and loss of use of my son's left thumb, yet unable to reattach it. was stuck with a another tendon transfered from my son's other good index finger , he doesn't have full use of either one now. I running into the same thing ,that it was the swelling that caused it. What a bunch of bull.
