Will my Employment Pass in Singapore be approved even if my Malaysia Employment pass is not yet cancelled?

I resigned from my job in Malaysia because I am hired by another company in Singapore which is much better. My new employer already applied my EP in Singapore and already approved, just waiting for my medical & my documents/papers to submit to MOM/ICA. But my EP in Malaysia is not yet cancelled, will my EP in Singapore be approved even if my Malaysia EP is not yet cancelled?

 Hi i am indian and i have employement pass in malaysia upto 2012 now i planning to do higher education in australia.. Do i need to cancel EP before leaving?? Will i  get student visa for australia without cancellation?
