Will building a privacy fence increase the value...?

Will building a privacy fence increase along the back on my home about 100 feet long, 6 ft high increase the value of my home at all, if so, how much?

it depends privacy fence from what.do you have a wonderful view you are blocking or is it just more houses.

Absolutely, I'm not exactly sure how much cost wise, but when you sell the house buyers really like privacy fences because they can relax without the neighbors going by looking into your yard, therefore your house will sell really fast, and that's money in your pocket.

It depends where you live and what view you are obsucuring.  If you live in a townhome community then the answer is YES.  However, if you live in a single family home with a wooded back yard or a nice view, than you are probably taking away from the value of your home.  

Make sure that once your wood settles to stain it to protect it.  The worst eye sore is an old looking splintering fence.
