Will 20x10x8 tires fit on 20x8x8 rims??

Question

My grandfather was a mechanic and i had asked him this question and he told me this wouldnt work because of the tire sealing to the rim and it would leak but i read a reveiw on here and i heard it will work but i dont want to buy the tires if they wont fit. I recently bought a 2006 troy bilt bronco and it came with a snow plow. I want to plow snow ut turf tires wont cut it. I have a set of chains and im working on getting a set of wheel weights but i thought ag tires with bar tread would provide better traction. The problem is they only come in 20x10x8 not 20x8x8 like the tires on it now. Will a 20x10x8 tire fit the 20x8x8 rim?

just put 20x10x10on my golf cart the cart came with 18x850x8 no problem sealing
