James Earl Jones, Barry White, Ja Rule, Tone Loc, DMX, Issac Hayes, etc. the list could go on and on. The only White guy I can think of who has that type of voice is Tom Jones. and every one says he SOUNDS like a Black man. I'm sure there are more White men with this type of voice also, but it doesn't seem to be as common as with Blacks. Likewise I know there are some of Blacks with voices like Michael Jackson, but not many. Also, I have never ONCE heard an east Asian with a bass voice, why not?

  1. We have vocal cords and black men tend have a slightly smaller span than white men. It seems to be gentically. A smaller cord means that black men usually cant reach the same high pitch as men but it also mean that they can not reach as deep either. Each cord has diffenrent pitch and black men tend to have more in the middle length giving them a medium "bas" sound. White men tend to have cords that are shorter and longer spread out and can therefor sound even deeper but also much lighter. It is a matter of taste.
