Why did Manny leave the Red Sox ??

One day he's on the Sox then last night i watched the game and Manny wasn't in the batting order. It started closing up on the poster and they started saying " Welcome Bay" ????

Because Manny is a petulant child. When he said "the Red Sox don't deserve a player like me" it was the first thing he got right when he opened his mouth in years. The Sox organization deserves credit for putting character before slugging percentage. . .

He was traded because the RedSox used him up like they do all there great players of the past and then just discarded them like trash. The Red Sox Suck and so does the City of Boston!!

It was in his best interests to be traded. The red sox may have picked up his option years at 20 M per, whereas he will be a free agent and may get a contract for upwards of 100M.

the picture is a lot bigger than you and i can see,when it comes to manny being traded.manny said he was not getting the respect he deserved from the orginization.supposedly there was an incident where manny pushed a person down,who is not a player,but a member of the bosox.you have inhouse problems alot of times you never hear about, until a trade or something happens.also i think the owners did not agree with manny being manny or manny antics.manny problably felt as long as he was getting the job done,(which he was)they should not make a big issue of manny being manny.the person that is paying you has the power and last say,whether you stay or go.manny wanted to leave too.

that's simple.they got tired of manny being manny;when their fighting for1st place.Also he stinks in the outfield.

the truth to this situation will come out soon; just wait and see.  Manny and his agent (Scott Boras) were looking for a long term contract negotiation, not just a continuation of his current contract, and when the Sox wouldn't do it, Manny became upset and started all these antics.

Remember, this is Boras, the agent that got Drew to drop his $11M contract with the Dodgers for more $$ with the Sox. What goes around comes around.  The truth is, most of these guys love to talk about fans and loyalty, but in the end money talks.

The truth about this situation is just starting to come out. wait and see what leaks out the next few days
