Who Goes Mystery Shopping?

I want to be a mystery shopper, whats a good site that actually works.... ? and do you actually mystery shop? whats it like? thanks.

Most of those sites are scams. Most companies hire people on their own and not through one of those places anyway. I used to work for McDonald's, and even though they say on some of the sites that they hire people to "Mystery shop" there, that is not true. They use their own people. I now work for a major grocery store chain and they hire their own people also. I was looking into this after my son was born and almost every site they wanted to "sell" their list of companies. Any job you have to pay a fee for is a scam.

I've done it off and on for the last 10 years. A great site to go to for info is www.volition.com. Scroll down a bit until you hit mystery shopping and click it. It has tons of legitimate companies, a daily list for the area you specify and a discussion board.

I love doing it. I used to do it a lot, now I only really choose jobs based on what I need to do or places I want to go to. For instance, I need an oil change and just got a shop offered in my area that I am taking. I am taking a friend to lunch next week at a fancy restaurant, although there are also tons of fast food places etc. I always getSam'sSam's Club card each year thru my mystery shop. And, on Tuesday I am doing a Papa Johns shop where they will deliver the pizza to my home! I will get reimbursed plus a small fee. Can't beat that hey?

Just remember, companies will pay YOU to mystery shop, do NOT pay THEM for any info. All the info you need is online and it's FREE!!
