  1. I have been involved in both for 40 years. Electronics has changed from when we made and repaired circuit boards to now when they are robot constructed and throw away. Most have self diagnosing  LEDs.If you go for electronic training make shire it is on the design side and involved in the data centre/server industry where the future is.Electrical engineering has changed little except for variable speed motors and computer process controls. Both are part of an electricians work. There is more work for Electrical and you can open your own business easier.

  2. If you can't handle the math, forget both and take up liberal arts. "Hard" should NOT be in your lexicon if you want to do ANYTHING in EE or ME. In the scheme of things traditional electrical (power) engineering pays the least among EE disciplines. Electronics in either communication or circuit design disciples pay the highest.

  3. Ah both are equally difficult as electronic engineering will deal with smaller voltages and electrical engineering will deal with higher voltages. Both will have design, theory, advanced math and some hands on. As long as you study hard and have some good friends who want the degree as well, you can make it.

There is no shame in dropping a difficult class right before its final, then retaking and passing it the following semester. It took me 6 years to get my BS (I also worked while attending full time). Any engineering or hard science course in college will definately affect your social life :) But it's worth it in the end $$$$

Or you can switch majors into something easier like education/criminal justice/social services :) LOL.

    Hope I helped ~ Jeff
