  6. Yes, it was China.  Marco Polo, his father, and other traders and travelers from Europe during the late 1100s and early 1200s saw fireworks, rockets, "firearrows" and early forms of artllery in China, and then found out how the powder was made.  Soon Europeans were using it as a weapon.

  9. The fireworks was invented in 12th century China. No evidence remains of the person who invented it but maybe it was an accident involving gunpowder. The Chinese didn't care about the inventors of items at that time, so no one knows who invented gunpowder or the compass.

    The Chinese used fireworks to sacre off spirits, it took a long time for professional firework makers who were respected and loved through China. Fireworks are also supposed to have led to military rockets, invented by the Chinese in the 14th century.
