Indra in the guise of a Brahmin came and asked Karna to donate the Kavach and Kundal to him, as he knew that, Arjuna who was born with Indra's blessings, would never be able to defeat Karna as long as Karna had his Kavach and Kundal. Thus Indra took the Kavach and Kundal. Some people also believe that the Kohinoor diamond is a part of this. I do not know what has happened in between.

As per the Mahabharata epic, at the time of War in Kurukshetra, Arjuna's father - Indra, asked Karna's Kavach-Kundal from him.

As there is no where mentioned about those Kavach-Kundal anywhere after that incident, Kavach- Kundal is with Indra only.

Though, recently there came a hindi movie 'Naksha' where it was shown that Indra - after taking Kavach-Kundal from Karna, did hide that on the earth itself, where its was a impossible task to reach on that place, various puzzles had to be solved for reaching there to get Karna's Kavach-Kundal.

karna didnot left his kavach kundal to any one but lord  indra (king of paradise ) came to him as a saint and told to karna if he was really danvir then give me yours kavach kundal because i donot want  to take any thing from yours else kavach kundal  and inspite of knowing indra cheated with him , he gave him his kavach kundal  to indra.
