bolted to front of engine, in the timing case I believe. A real pain to change if you haven't got some experience in engine work.

The water pump is timing belt driven and will require the entire front of the engine to be disassembled to do, usually done at the second timing belt service or 120K miles, if it does not fail before. similar to the 3.0L V-6 engine.
