Where is el dia de los muertos celebrated?

i mean besides just mexico...what particular parts of mexico, where other than mexico, etc.

  2. It´s in the whole country but specially at Mixquic in Michoacán

  3. Oaxaca is the big celebration, tourists come from all over to see the altars and buy Day of the Dead folkart. Also, believe it or not, Prague, the Czech Republic has a big celebration. Not to mention many towns in Southern California where there are concentrations of Mexican Americans.

  4. we celebrate it at my house.  

    i remember when i was a young child, seeing my great grandma create an altar for our family members that had passed away, when my great-grandma died, my grandma and mom carried the tradition.  

    my grandma passed away a few months ago, and now I will help my mom create an "altar" to welcome them home for Dia De Los Muertos.  

    It makes me very proud of my heritage... i know there are celebrations in Tijuana, here in San Diego, many more in L.A. and in the state my family is from Oaxaca, Mexico

  6. On November 1st and 2nd Mexico celebrates   the Day of the Dead, and there are two very special places where this ritual is specially impressive: Mixquic, a small town in Mexico City, and in Janitzio, a charming little island in the state of Michoacan.

    Also in Sin San Son, Michoacan, Im not sure on the spelling but it sounds like that also nother big auhtenic loaction
