  1. I live in south east Queensland, so does 3/4s of new zealand! enough said

  2. Australia Pros (advantages) -

    * More activities to do (not saying that New Zealand doesn't have heaps to do, but aus has more variety).

    * "So Called" better opportunties and "So Called" Higher Wages, but that gets eaten up with the higher costs anyway with the higher prices in Australia and the ammount of private health care and schooling.

    * Hotter (thats if you like the hot weather)

    * Poisoinous and more variety Animals (thats if you are in love with the stuff).

    Australia Cons (Disadvantages) -

    * People aren't as friendly as Kiwis

    * More s****. behaviour, eg. Patrioticism, Nationalistic, Materialistic and more money attitudes. (Or I am better than Kiwi attitudes)

    * Hotter (thats if you hate the hot weather)

    * Deadly Animals (thats if people are so scared of animals to begin with).

    * Faster Paced

    New Zealand Pros (Advantages) -

    * People are generally more accepting and nicer towards other people of other countries especially if there culture is different.

    * Cheaper overall, except in Consumer good, eg. Clothes, Lip Gloss and Computers.

    * Females are treated better than in Australia due to the fact it was the first nation in the world to allow women the vote and to even stand for elections. It has had 2 female prime ministers, australia has never had 1, except if you count Julia Gillard as one.

    *  More Slow Paced than Australia.

    * Cooler (if you love the cooler Weather).

    * Less s****..

    * A more equatable version of Society than Australia is.

    * more environmentally friendly than Australia.

    * Better funded Government Education System overall.

    New Zealand Cons (Disadvantages) -

    * "So Called" Less oportunities for work and "So Called" lower wages although the Labour Party whom are in current power are doing the best to raise the wages to be higher.

    * Cooler (If you hate cooler weather).

    * less to do, although, it can be boring in both Australia and NZ as equally.

  3. Australia pro's:- Better weather,better beaches,more job opportunities

                 con's:-Very hot and humid summers

    New Zealand pro's:- Amazing scenery,steinlager(beer)

                       con's:- Bloody cold winters,DB(beer)

  4. New Zealand is a pardise in good weather of course, But how often do you like walking out in gale force winds and raining for days on end . Not me. There is more opportunity in Australia Thousands more people flock to Australia from New Zealand for a better lifestyle. But saying that many people have a good lifestyle in New Zealand.

  5. I would say Australia is the superior place to live.

    Better weather

Much more jobs at much higher pay

People have better sense of humor

    Better beaches

    More to see and do.

  6. megan.jones_march1990 - has got the best, most thorough answer, shes hit the nail on the head.

As a kiwi, i personally would say New Zealand is better, hundreds of kiwis flock to Australia in the hope of living some amazingly greater lifestyle, after a year orso most come home having discovered the grass is quite literally not greener on the other side of the ditch!

Pros of Nz are that we have both Beautiful beaches and mountains, with some of the best skifields in the world so New Zealand suits both beach bunnies and snow junkies alike. if outdoor activities are your thing then NZ caters for them all. we are a watersports mad nation, rowing, kayaking, sailing, windsurfing, surfing, you name it there all done here. Queenstown is nicknamed the adventure capital of the world and bunjy jumping was invented in NZ

Because NZ is smaller, everything is much closer, less traffic, the furtherest you'll ever be from a beach is 128km

we have some of the cleanest, freshest drinking water in the world and we don't have to pay for it!! nor conserve it

Our wages might not be as high but it doesn't take long to realise that monthly bills take up a large portion of whatever extra money one might make over in Aus

Our climate is much more mild, which means we are free from "heat seeking" bugs and grubs such as cockroaches, which can be found in Brisbane, Queensland etc all year round.

Also we are free from poisonous snakes, toads and lizards

All in all life in Nz is pretty d**n awesome and there are Aussies here too, i work with quite a few and they all have made NZ a permanant home.

Hot sticky summers aren't for everyone, we still get lovely summers in NZ, our clothes just don't stick to us so much...

so the only real con regarding NZ is the climate if you prefer warmer weather all the time

I wouldn't consider "low" wages a problem as our pay rate is constantly increasing over here. I'm an unqualified librarian and earn a d**n good wage for what i do! I live comfortably renting a two bedroom place, purchasing wine each week, eating out and going on at least 4 holidays a year (within in NZ) and will have enough for a decent house deposit by the end of next year, i must see if i can find out what sort of hourly rate a librarian gets in australia

this is always going to be a hard question to answer as everyone (like myself) has strong opinions regarding the two countries, some kiwis now proudly call Australia home, some Australians now proudly call NZ home. for me home will always be NZ

    hope this helps
