  1. I just bought a Leupold 4.5x14 for my .22-250, it's a great scope.

  2. A variable 3x9 would be ideal.

  3. depends on what you are planning on doing with the rifle.  If you are varmint hunting i would go with 4x16x50 or somewhere in there if you are deer hunting ( which is a small caliber in my opinion for deer) a 3x9x40 should be plenty.  its a good all around size for any rifle in fact its the size that usally comes on rifle scope packages

  4. Do you get a muzzle that turns 180 degrees and blasts the sicko's face off?

  5. even if you are varminting I think a 3x9 would be plenty, 223 doesn't have the extreme range of a 22-250 so no 4x12 is really necessary IMHO

Besides, the 3x9 is a wonderful balance between performance and size.

If you are just target shooting, or going after coyote, bobcat, javelina, or small whitetail like you find in texas, i'd actualyl suggest stepping down to a 2x7 scope because it is smaller and lighter.

  6. i agree

  7. For general hunting or target shooting a 3-9X40 is fine. For a longer target shots then consider a 4-12X40...... See below for more clarification....

I like Nikon scopes. They are priced within the budget of the regular working man, are accurate and have been a pleasure to use..... See Nikons here and an informative video.....
