What should i be aware of on a holiday to Egypt? - Sharm el Sheik?

Question

I am planning to go to Egypt in September/October, and was wondering if there is anything I need to be aware of, eg if you shouldn't wear anything/do anything particular because it is a Muslim country. We are going to Sharm, and want to stay in the Naama bay area, doing snorkelling and a bit of partying :)

Also, what is it like for going out in the evening, is it pretty lively? Like other European resorts?

the timing is very good.

in Sharm , you will spend the days on the beach and the afteroons/evenings on Naema Bay for the fun you can find there .

on the beach you will sunbathe , swim, snorkle , dive , and see the coral reefs from the glassboat.

dont forget to apply sunblock when you are exposed to the sun.

in the evenings , everybody goes to Naema Bay  in the seaside walk or in the parrallel  sidewalk where all the restaurants , cafeterias , discos , shops , etc are .

the best disco is Hardrock  . the best restaurant is Pacha .

go about exploring and choosing what you like .

no one will dare approach you , harress you , or annoy you .

the Tourists Police is everywhere .

have a nice vacation.

egypt are not saudi arabia

and sharm -particularly- is a piece from Europe, u will find alot of things to do morning and evening  

Neama Bay very good choice

although i don't advice u to come in september because of RAMADAN and the weather , come in october or later

Egypt has a high rate of sexual harassment towards local women and female tourists...even though it's a Muslim country...go figure.  Be prepared to be objectified, touched, and ogled.  Don't go out alone and stay in well-populated areas.  We wouldn't want to hear about you getting raped or kidnapped.  Have a safe trip!

Congratulations on your choice of Sharm el Sheikh to spend your vacation. All who visited the place want to go back some time.

If you like sea sports this is the place for you. The red sea and especially Sharm el Sheikh has another world under the water.

You should drink only bottled water and use it too to brush your teath. You can wear usual summer clothes. You need pure cotton which is the best in Egypt's weather.

Ladies can wear swim suits at the beach, in the city it is advised not to expose the stomach or wear too short shorts.

In the evening you can enjoy the different restaurants and cafes. At day time you can swim, snorkle or dive. Do not forget to take the glass bottom boat, it is very interesting.

don't trust local males, they pray and religious and well raised and everything but on the first chance they will sexual harass you.

keep your eyes on your cell phone, laptop and money.
