What is the traditional spelling of Susanna?

I'm really not sure if it actually IS Susanna because there are so many variations, i.e. Suzanna, Suzannah, Susannah, etc.

Do you know for sure what the traditional spelling of Susanna is?

Susanna is in the top 1000 baby names (barely), but Susannah the the others are not.  So Susanna is the most common spelling now.

Some sites say Susanna Wesley and others say Susannah, but more say Susanna.

Between those two pieces, I'd say Susanna is the more likely traditional spelling, with Susannah a common early variant.  The one with z would have come later.

I was going to say with z but the origin of this name is the Hebrew name Susan so shouldn't it technically be with s?

I know in Germany it's usually Suzannah. A mix of Suzan and Hannah.

I believe that traditionally it's Susannah, with Susanna as a slight variation.  Similar to Sarah and Sara.
