I've only ever lived in Selangor and Federal Territory Kuala Lumpur, so I can't really say for other states in Malaysia.

But having grown up in the city, I can't imagine living in smaller towns. Selangor is pretty alright.

Penang

Penang is the only Malaysian state that can self-sustain.The life here is interesting,ie.the citizens won't be jobless,yet still have time to go for vacation in the other states.

Penang has the most delicious and cheapest foods in Malaysia.

The houses here are sold cheaper than KL and Johor Bahru.

Penang make you feel it is almost like Singapore.But Penang has dirtier environment.
