  1. I'm sure you can find Nike shoes or whatnot at some stores in the major cities...I have no idea what a Baby Phat is, but Spain abounds with cute little boutiques all over the place.  The big chain department stores are Corte Inglés.  There are branches in most cities.  They are neat to visit...they are somewhat different from American department stores.

The thing about Spain is you will find many more little, privately owned "mom and pop" type stores than you do in the US.  And at that, fewer chain stores.

    Drinking age is 18.

The best places to eat are also mom and pop type places.  Almost all of the Spanish-owned/operated shops are that type.  There are some chain restaurants...most of them are American and you will recognize them:  McDonald's, KFC, Pizza Hut, etc., there are a few chains that I didn't recognize,  but I wouldn't term them must check-outs. or anything.   Except for the Museo de Jamón chain in Madrid, which you should check out.

The best places to eat, therefore, are the ones that will be different in every city.  For instance, La Isla, in Sevilla, c/Arfe, is considered one of the best in the city.  Also El Rinconcillo, if only for its historic ambiance.  Casa Botín in Madrid, also very historic.  La Boqueria, the  big market in Barcelona has tons of little "fast food" type little spots to stop and eat.  Kind of a must-do.

Other than those suggestions, I would need a location, to know what to recommend.  Where are you planning on going?
