What is dress code for a speaker at Tech conference in Dubai?

Hi,

I have been invited in Dubai for Tech conference as guest speaker which is going to held in the month of December.

I noticed that people tend to wear suits in the Middle East.

When I attended GDC in San Francisco though, Facebook and Zynga speakers were both in jeans and ...shirts. Why speaker prefer to wear suits in Dubai?
