Most people try to let it go if they know it will be a bad idea if they let the person they have a crush on know. I’d advice that you try to let the person know, you never can tell, maybe that person also has a crush on you or likes you, too. If you tell him/her and you get shut down, don’t worry, there are many fishes in the river, do not let one fish make you feel less important.

The person you have a crush on might be your soul mate, if you hold it without letting him/her know, you might just lose the person you’re supposed to spend the rest of your life with. Let him/her know, if you don’t get shut down, then try your luck from there… ask him/her on a date, try new stuff and be happy.
