Hollister was created in 2000. There was no Hollister in 1922, that's jsut a story. There was, however, and Abercrombie, and their clothin looked like this:

I found this on Wikipedia, its pretty much a marketing tool. A lot of companies will do this to provide an 'experience' to the shopper.
