Well, to be short, true, and honest, "a day without God" would be pure disaster (yet God does give us free will).

You could put images of Darfur, the Holocaust, the destruction left from the 2005 tsunami and Hurricane Katrina, and basically just major destruction.

As for music, Linkin Park's "In the End"* matches the subject perfectly. "The Rite of Spring"** (You know, the dinosaurs from Fantasia?) is also a good choice.

You could also add proverbs that deal with disaster and destruction in your composition, as well as any other pieces of literature (poems, quotes, etc.) that deal with your subject; the Bible is a good source (Ex. Noah's Ark).

I received a chain mail about the "last day" and God, which was pretty enlightening for me, but it doesn't really deal with "a day without God," but it could still give you some decent ideas. I remember a line in the chain email went somewhat like this: On the last day, God doesn't care how many friends you have, but how many people consider you as a friend. Message me with your email and I'll send you it.
