What can I do for a 7 yr old fever?? its 103.1?

 advice from a nursing student =) 

pls NO cold baths. warm-luke baths are good in assisting the reduction of fever.....depending on your childs weight you might be able to give 1- 500mg tab of Tylenol every 4-6 hours or Motrine every 6-8 hours.  If your not sure about the dosage you could always call your local 24 hour pharmacy and the pharmacist will assist you according to the childs weight. Wet, fresh wash clothes placed over the forehead, and the armpits will assist with fever reduction.
