2. Depends where you are going, but Mexico City has Palacio de Bellas Artes, the Zócalo, Cathedrals, and fabulous ruins. There are also great neighborhoods like Coyoacan, Polanco, I recommend having a coffee and watching the city go by.

The architectural landscape on many Mexican towns and cities is dominated by the strong background of the catholic church.   Although many other christian religions are alive and well in Mexico I think the catholic church is still number 1...

  My favorite place to visit in Mexico is the old Spanish silver mining town of Zacatecas, nestled in in the mountains of central Mexico.  Although the silver mining is long gone it is simply a beautiful example of old mexico with the most breath taking sunsets I've ever seen.  

  Puerto Escondido is the only area that I know of that accepts nudity(though not legal) on the beaches of Zipolite but is not welcomed in the restaurants. Nudity is more common on Playa del Amor, just west of Zipolite.
