What's the most embarrassing thing that's ever happened to you?

When we had "Dress Up Day" in 6th grade. My teacher told us this story about two boys in another homeroom that dressed up as Lavern & Shirley from the tv show a few years earlier. She talked about how funny it was and asked if any boys in our class were brave enough to dress up like girls. Me and most of the other boys had a crush on the teacher. One boy talked me and two others into agreeing to dress up for her.
It was real embarrassing just calling my neighbor and asking her to borrow some clothes. She was in another homeroom and when I explained, she couldn't invite me over quick enough to pick out an outfit. My mom who got excited too, borrowed a wig from her friend and did my make up.
I showed up at school in a long brown wig with a pink ribbon in it, wearing a pink blouse, black knee length ruffled skirt, white knee socks, shiny black leather girls shoes, and make up. I was shocked that not only were the other boys not dressed up as girls but no one else was even wearing a costume!
My teacher called me up in front of the class to look me over. She oohed and ahed and told me I looked adorable. She asked me why I couldn't wait until tomorrow for Dress Up Day though. 0_0 I had gotten mixed up and dressed up a day too early!
It was humiliating. I had to spend all day explaining what I'd done, being teased, and feeling ridiculous.
