  1. How can we anwser such a broad question? Do you know how big Australia is?Do you know what city you are going to.If you really are coming here, what homework have you done?

  2. bronte is a good neighbour hood, kids can play on the street.

  3. honest answer:no such place in australia

  4. The Sunshine Coast , Qld. could be an option, or Northern towns are growing rapidly.  The big cities are really expensive in all areas and very busy.  It would depend on how you intend on making a living.  S Gold Coast, Qld.

  5. The North Shore in Sydney Manley by the beach, Frenches Forest, Belrose, all close to the city, great for kids and schools

big shopping centres if you want to be near a train line Chatswood is also nice.

  6. Not too isolated? Y'know, there are urban areas here!

  7. planning on moving anywhere in particular?  narrowing down from "australia" will give you better responses!  as the questions stands at the moment - basically pick any city on the map!

  8. If you are looking for a quiet place with good education standards I recommend Bathurst in NSW, post code 2795. Its a 2 hour drive from Sydney and it has good private schools for all ranges of years (All Saint's College, St. Stanislaus College, Mackillop.

I've studied at All Saints for 6 years as an international student and I liked the town/country experience, but don't expect a lot of fellow americans to be there, although we do get the odd Canadian rugby team on tour every 2 years. Its alright if you don't mind it being quiet, otherwise you should just consider looking at one of the suburbs in Northern Sydney or around the coast.
