The curator of Wankhede Stadium, Sudhir http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760, saying that instead of criticising the wicket, the
spinner should concentrate on his bowling and know how to turn the ball on a difficult wicket.
Ashwin, after struggling to extract bounce from the Wankhede strip on the first day of recently concluded Test match, criticized the wicket saying he “felt cheated” as the bounce offered by the pitch was not at all according to his expectations.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sudhir-Sakharam-Naik-c91655, a former Indian batsman, said that he was hurt by such kind of remarks made by the 25-year-old Chennai off spinner and advised him to focus on his bowling rather than blaming the wickets and curators.
"I felt bad when Ashwin made the comments that there was no bounce and help for the bowlers and several newspapers carried it," said Naik while talking to the media reporters on Saturday.

"These boys now want wickets to turn from the first day itself. On good wickets they should know how to make the batsman play the ball,” he added further.
Naik said that had the wicket started turning from day one of the Test, then the match would have been over within two to three days, adding that even then the players and fans would have blamed the curator for preparing such a turning strip.
After criticising the pitch for failing to assist bowlers on the first two days of the match, Ashwin went on to record his career best figures of 9 for 180, besides notching his maiden Test century and was adjudged as the Man of the Match.
Naik also criticised the bowling of Indian pacers during the just concluded third test.
"The wicket was hard since there was a bit of grass which was holding it up. In such a case they (http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Varun-Aaron-c2744) should not have banged the ball rather than pitching it further up. Besides, you should also give credit to the opposition for
doing well rather than critcising the pitch," said Naik.
The five-match ODI series between India and West Indies starts on November 29, 2011 at Cuttack.
