Paddy Murphy has served as the President of Northern Ireland Volleyball Association for quite a while. He was a volleyball player in the 70’s and contributed to the overall growth of his team in that era. Later, he opted for coaching volleyball as a professional
and concentrated on his leadership and administrative abilities. He proved his endeavours as an international referee all around the European continent and supervised a number of important matches. Murphy performed his duties whole heartedly and earned a very
good reputation on account of his expertise and experience. He improved his knowledge of the game by supervising several CEV and FIVB events throughout the world.

He is an important figure in the British Volleyball community.
Ms. Irena Mihneva will assist Murphy as the new Vice President. The Bulgarian is considered as a dynamic person, who has done a lot for the development of women’s volleyball in the region. She started her career as a player and spent quite some time playing
beach volleyball. Afterwards, she developed an interest in teaching the game and was hired as a referee by Northern Ireland Volleyball Association. She has great leadership qualities and that is what enabled her to take over the position of Vice President
of Northern Ireland Volleyball Association.
At the assembly held at the headquarters of Northern Ireland Volleyball Association, the team coach of Coleraine, Treasurer Alan McKnight was also assigned a new task. He will now work for the Northern Ireland Women’s National League next season.
