User account on domain?

Question

How can i make one user account with windows server so i any computer that is connected to the domain can access the account? Just like a school, how you have your own account that you can access on every single computer in the school that is connected to the domain. Also is it possible to get a free domain name or even make a (network) account without a domain and just use a workgroup? Please if you kind of understand but need more info to answer please email me because i really want to know how to do this. Thanks

I can definitely answer the first question. You can use roaming profiles.

That link has a detailed way of showing you how to do it through Active Directory. Im not too sure about the domain name, I'm fairly sure you have to pay to hold one..

Create the user name in Active directory and you are done.

With windows server, the domain is not necessarily a registered domain on the Internet.  It can be but need not be. If your company name is Freds Auto Sales, you could call your Windows Server domain FAS for Fred's auto sales.

We cannot write the complete description about the use of Active Directory - Users and Computers herein as it is a major amount of information.  I suggest you get a text that covers this and learn it.
