Travelling Oz do you think I will need jeans?? ?

Hi all, Travelling Oz next week for 5 months, questionning wether I should take jeans, I know its going in to summer and compared to the UK i'm expecting it to be hot. But then if you have the odd cold day, I suppose I may need them? Do you think jeans would be a waste of space or will I need them to get in to clubs ect?

I know a guy at work here in Brisbane who has NEVER worn a pair of shorts.  He wears jeans EVERY single day.

I am British so I am not used to the heat, but in the past year I have only worn shorts maybe three times.

'cos I think that tall guys shouldn't wear them.

Oh and also,

In the evenings you might want to hide your legs from bugs

and lastly, you will get used to the heat very quickly and might feel cold now and again.

definetly its a staple. Depending where you go, it can sometimes get cooler at night. You will definetly need them so take them.

You probably wont need more than one, cause I think its going to be a really hot summer this year (dont waste water when you get here - thats very important). Shorts will probably be more important in summer.

some places in australia aren't warm like melbourne even if it's summer you will still have cold days so yes definitely bring jeans you will need them trust me especialy if your coming next week it's frezzing were i am in melbourne

Most of the younger population seem to live in jeans in Australia.

You may find them NOT acceptable to get into nightclubs, it just depends on the dress standard of that venue.

There is always plenty of op shops where you can buy other clothing if you need it while visiting and then you can donate that clothing back before you leave to go back home.

As regards the heat, it depends which part of Australia you are visiting and specifically which month. You may find it mild in many places.
