Question:

Travel from La Paz to Cabo San Lucas Mexico?

I am arriving to La Paz 11pm Dec 31st and need to get to Cabo San Lucas either that night or the next morning. Does anyone know the easiest/cheapest way to get from the La Paz airport to Cabo San Lucas? And it is New Year's Eve so perhaps that makes thing a little more difficult. How long does it take to get to Cabo from La Paz?

Thank you very much.

  1. If it was me I would rent a car and drive.  Its not a bad drive at all, I think about 2-3 hours travel time.  If you don't want to drive then I know there are buses that run from La Paz to Cabo, but then it you will be on their schedule and run a little slower.  I would say if you are going to drive get into the airport and find a hotel for the night and rent a car and do the drive in the morning, these are highways in Mexico and can be a little crazier then those up here in the states, so do the drive in the daylight if possible. If you want to take the bus then you can probably get one that night that will get you into Cabo when the parties are just getting going if that's your cup of tea!I hope this helps.

  2. Take the bus, they run frequently from CSL and/or La Paz.

100 miles +/- and 2 hours travel time. Nice, easy& scenic ride.

  3. Hola.  You are arriving kinda late in La Paz.  It takes approximately 2 hours from CSL to La Paz.

Easiest would be to rent a car....but cheapest/easiest would be to get the Aguila bus to CSL.  However, I don't think they leave from the airport, so you will need to get to the bus terminal downtown.  The airport is a little way out of town, so take a taxi.  I don't know the phone number for the one in La Paz, but here is the one for CSL  El Aguila Bus Terminal (tel (624)1421100)  Call and get more information such as when they leave and where from!  Have a great time!
