Trafficking 15gms Methamphetamine first offence. Victoria?

My friends son has been picked up with 15 gms Methamphetamine in his car. As far as it is known, they do not have evidence of him trafficking but this is what he has been initially charged with.

At times like these, the brain doesnt focus well so I thought it best to ask here, what steps we should take, and what penalty is he looking at.

as far as penalty goes is it state or federal charges? you can look up sentencing guidelines. since it's his first time he may get off pretty easy. get a lawyer!
