Tottenham Hotspur boss Harry Redknapp praises Chelsea’s Carlo Ancelotti for remaining calm through turbulent season
Tottenham Hotspur boss Harry Redknapp said he was extremely impressed with the way Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti had been handling the pressure and speculation regarding his job at Stamford Bridge. There have been countless rumors claiming that Ancelotti
would be sacked at the end of the season after having failed to lead the Blues to any silverware this season.
Roman Abramovich, the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38605 boss Pep Guardiola, former Italy national coach Marcello
Lippi and Frank Rijkaard to take over from Ancelotti.
Throughout all of the speculation and uncertainty, Ancelotti has remained calm. The Italian has focused on the Blues and has successfully led them out of their slump. Chelsea are currently at second place on the Premier League table, just six points behind
league leaders Manchester United. This is a big improvement from the side that was barely managing to stay in the top four earlier on in the season.
Redknapp said while speaking to reporters, “The way he's conducted himself throughout all the speculation is incredible. I'm sure there are plenty of others who'd be kicking up a real stink in his position. Yet throughout it all, he has remained so dignified
- and sent his standing even higher in my eyes.”
Ancelotti has refused to comment on his future, claiming he wanted to remain at Stamford Bridge next season but would leave the decision to the management. His commitment has earned him the players’ respect, with many of them claiming they did not want Ancelotti
to leave. The likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Frank-Lampard-c14097 have also said the Italian boss was not to blame for their trophy-less season.
Redknapp revealed that the players at Chelsea had nothing but respect for the Italian manager, who had led them to the double last season, Premier League and the FA Cup. The Tottenham boss continued, “It's always a good indication of a manager as to how
his players view him, and I know the Chelsea lads have total respect for Carlo.”
The English manager did not think http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-Maseru-c38430 had a shot at the title, leaving only Chelsea and Manchester United to battle it out for the Premier League crown. Redknapp said, “I honestly can't see Arsenal managing it now, but although Manchester United will
probably just edge it, I can see it going right down to the final day.”
With five games remaining in the season, there is a possibility that Chelsea can retain the Premier League crown. However, for that to happen, Chelsea will have to win their remaining fixtures and hope that Manchester United go on to lose at least two of
theirs. Chelsea host West Ham United at Stamford Bridge over the weekend.
